Hi there. Thanks for taking a quick minute to stop by. Let me start off by introducing myself..
My name is Lauren Ellis, but you can call me L. I’m a 29 year young creative mind. I’m constantly sketching, doodling, and finding projects to lose myself in.
Lux Designery is my creative studio that was born in 2010 shortly after my first home purchase. Brando (my super cool, gear-head husband) and I were looking to send out House Warming invitations but couldn’t find any that struck our fancy – so I made them.. then I sold the extras.. and viola! Thank You notes soon followed as well as Recipe cards that were a great hit.
Rewind it a few years… I’ve been a professional designer for close to ten years (eek!). I started my career working for a small marketing company where I gained tremendous experience (in both the web world and graphic world) and amazing clients, some of whom are still with me today. : ) I’ve been apart of several graphic projects for some pretty cool businesses like The Loading Dock, The Grafton Winery, McGurk’s, Fitz’s, Troy Spartans, Global Brew, Peel Pizza and Brewing, and countless more! I’ve always been the “creative kid” so transforming into a Graphic Designer almost seemed like my destiny. I truly love what I do. I love going to work. I love creating. I love seeing end results.
My ventures have exposed me to many aspects of graphic design, and I’m truly grateful. I have been a graphic designer for web graphics and development, for sales and marketing material, apparel design and now packaging. I love finding new avenues to apply my design skills.
YOU SHOULD KNOW…
I do hold a full time job during the week (as a package/textile print designer) and then design “after hours” for Lux Designery. Because of this, my communications are limited throughout the day. I feel that’s important for you to know. I am online most evenings and weekends to answer any questions or send proofs. I fully understand that my “after hours” schedule isn’t for everyone – and that’s ok.
If you would ever like to know more about my career and design abilities, send me a note at firstname.lastname@example.org – I would love to chat!
Til next time,
